Beacon Hill School, Caldew High School and Queen Elizabeth Grammar School have all been awarded 5 stars on Cumbria Council’s ‘Scores on the Doors’ website. The awarding Environmental Health Officer informed us that only 10% of all premises visited received 5 stars therefore for all 3 of our Cumbrian schools to do this is great news. Well done to all 3 schools.
Please contact your CMC consultant if you wish to purchase any of these recycling solutions.

Well done to Holly Lodge Girl’s School, Liverpool. They gained a 5 star rating from Liverpool council.
Holly Lodge Girl’s College are a flagship school with the Food for Life partnership and after a recent visit, Jeanette Orrey, School Meals Policy Advisor for the Food for Life Partnership had nothing but praise for the school.
“My day at Holly Lodge Girls School reinforced my belief in why I campaign for better school food, this school has invested both time and money in the whole school approach, the catering staff are without doubt part of the school team, their dining room is a pleasure to be in and the food is a pleasure to eat. There is a secondary school in Harrogate Yorkshire with a reputation second to none for it's school meals called St Aidens, I wish Holly Lodge all the best for the future, I believe this school could be the next St Aidens of Liverpool.”
Regards Jeanette Orrey
“The single most important factor in the dramatic improvement in food provision within Holly Lodge has been taking catering in house. We are delighted with vastly improved quality of the food produced at lunchtime.”
