I started CMC in November 2000 following many years of working in the school meals industry in the contract education sector and prior to this in the retail sector.
The aim of the company was, and still is to supply schools with expertise and support and enthusiasm to enable them to improve the food on offer.
I love good food, when I’m not thinking about food or eating out I like to relax watching my beloved West Ham or going to see live music.
I joined CMC in its early days in 2001, having worked in local authority and NHS catering since 1985.
Like Gary my aim has always been to provide schools with the confidence and experience to manage their own catering and make in house catering the best option for a school.
Outside of CMC I love cooking for friends, walking with my dog, horse riding and gardening.
I started as a chef when I left college many moons ago and I’ve worked in catering management for many years. I love most foods and will try anything once. My favourite meal would be a good authentic curry in Bradford.
I’m married with two sons and a recently acquired Cocker Spaniel, so life is pretty hectic. I’m not very sporty, but am slowly becoming interested in football due to a footy mad son. I’d much prefer to sit and watch the Grand Prix, or better still have a drive in a Ferrari.
I have been working for CMC since June 2005, previously having spent many years in education catering first as Chef and latterly for a number of years in school catering management.
When not checking guidelines, compiling menus or teaching Howard how to cook I relax listening to music, spending time with my wife and the kids and watching football, especially Scotland and Blackpool.
Hi I’m Liz Greene and I’m the non foodie of the group but having a small child in the education system I’m committed to ensuring that children are able to access healthy food. As a horticulturalist I think the re-introduction of the outdoor classroom is a brilliant idea and one which can only benefit future generations and their understanding of where food comes from and how it grows. I like most foods especially those meals sat round the table with family and friends.
I have been working with CMC since May 2010 and have found it really refreshing to work for a company that care about what they do.
I have worked in the catering industry for over 20 years, starting right from the bottom and working my way up through the ranks to unit manager. I also have a training back ground which I really enjoy doing.
In my spare time I like to cook for family and friends, jewellery making, camping and now I have turned 40 it would seem I love gardening! Oh and I love handbags any shape and size.
I started working for CMC in May 2011 and I'm loving every minute of it. I've been in catering for 26yrs, I started on a YTS course at Cadburys chocolate as a trainee chef and worked my way up to unit manager. I have experience in all areas such as chefing, hospitality and management. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, keeping fit and being with my family and friends.
